Small Business Saturday is a day that means a lot to DanceFIT Studio. Being a small business ourselves, we feel it's so important to support other small businesses! Today, we are highlighting some of our favorites small business owners!
First up is Kroesser + Strat. A woman-owned small business, Amelia & Anna provide residential and commercial interior design services to the NYC area!
Why do you support Small Business Saturday?
We have friends + family members who own small businesses. We know that when we purchase from them or use their services, we are helping to grow their business, put food on the table for their families and pay the bills.
Why is it important to support other women in the small business industry?
We know first hand what a big, giant leap it is to start your own business. Every women owned small business has it's own story. Maybe it's someone who left their corporate 9-5 job for something that truly fulfills them, or it's a woman who has a full time job as a mom and still needs to financially provide for her family. Whatever it is, recognizing the sheer bravery that it took for that woman to take the next step, to put her plan into action, is all the reason anyone should need to support a women owned small business.
Pay it forward: What small business do you LOVE? (and a link)
Well not only is she a friend of ours, but her cookies are delicious! We love Robyn Frank + her Thumbs Cookies story. Making these cookies is a tradition the women in her family have done for decades and has been passed on through each generation. She says her mom "baked them to share her love of family, community and tradition, just like her grandmothers, great-grandmothers and the other matriarchal role models in her life had done. In honor of the talented, inspirational and caring ladies who have made me who I am today." What don't you LOVE about that? http://www.thumbscookies.com
